Learning from Home

With some of you already in the position of being at home, and more who will follow, we are sending out the start of our home learning provision now.

Miss Dawson has created a new tab on our school website (under the Children tab) called “Learning from Home” - on here, teachers will be adding website links, online learning and practical activities that you can do at home with your children, during the period of isolation.

Teachers will send home passwords again for TT Rock Stars so you can keep up with your times table practise.

If/when school is closed our teachers upload work daily to your child’s class folder on the website. The work set by the teachers will be a mixture of work from: the on-line learning platforms provided, and other tasks which will evolve over time. Don’t forget that you can spend your time at home losing yourself in a book! Keep up the daily reading.

We would suggest that you create a timetable for each day and I have attached a template for you to adapt as you wish. I have suggested a plan on here to help you with structure (attached). It will completely depend on your family circumstances as to how closely you follow this and we respect that, in this difficult time, one size won't fit all.

We have also set up a learning from home email address, use this email address if you would like the home learning explained, need to ask specific questions or would just like to contact us and talk about what is going on. If you have any concerns about your family while self-isolating, please also contact us through this email address. Members of the senior leadership will have access to this and will be checking it daily and we will respond within 24 hours. The email is: woodleahomelearning@gmail.com
